The Role

As the Director of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the strategic, growth-focused, marketing lifecycle for our company. You will have full ownership of your function along with two direct reports and over time, the ability to build out your team. With two direct reports in Demand Generation and Marketing Operations from the get-go, you will have a solid foundation to propel your strategic vision forward. Reporting directly to the Head of Revenue, you’ll develop strategy and execute business marketing campaigns to enhance inbound lead gen and brand recognition, develop industry partnerships, and support all sales enablement efforts. You'll get to make and drive all marketing decisions that have a high level impact on the business while redefining the industry. At VendorPM, you’ll only work with self-sufficient, autonomous teams - there’s no old fashioned corporate hierarchy.

As a Member Of Our Team You Will 

  • Develop VendorPMs Marketing Playbook that will position VendorPM as the go-to source for vendor management and procurement.
  • Create and manage the quarterly and yearly marketing plan/budget - establish goals and objectives for all marketing activity; track and report on KPIs.
  • Prepare social media marketing campaigns and strategize to align with the business objectives.
  • Create targeted ABM strategies to drive top of funnel and nurture existing pipeline, aligning closely with sales on high-value accounts for personalized engagement.
  • Support the establishment of a robust analytics foundation to capture and interpret marketing data, enabling for data driven strategies and enhancing sales visibility through actionable insights.
  • Manage successful press releases; send press kits; develop relationships with the media.
  • Work with CS, Sales, and Product Leaders to deliver webinars, white papers, and case studies that will be of value to our customers. 
  • Own and manage all trade show exhibits and events, while securing relevant partnerships, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities to grow company exposure
  • Manage the company’s website, blog, SEO/SEM programs.
  • Build a library of all marketing material and assets for internal and external promotional purposes.
  • Develop brand guidelines, communicate brand identity to the team, and ensure assets across the organization are on-brand (i.e., briefs, scripts, nurture programs, emails, sales enablement kits).
  • Develop and implement effective digital marketing strategies to optimize online presence, increase engagement, and drive conversions.
  • Implement strategies to increase user activation and retention, driving sustainable growth.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities to enhance brand visibility and growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies for user acquisition and lead generation, optimizing marketing efforts to drive high-quality leads.

You’re the Missing Piece of the Puzzle

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role 
  • You have strong generalist background: including communication, brand marketing, PR, content management, events, and digital marketing
  • You are a strong leader who has built, rapidly scaled, and led high-performing marketing teams; internal and freelancers
  • You're metrics-focused and have a knack for using content marketing and social marketing to drive actionable and quantifiable results.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Salesforce, Canva (or similar design software). Adept with web content management tools i.e. WordPress or Webflow.
  • Experience in a SaaS marketplace is an asset.

Compensation:

$165,000 Salary + $35,000 Bonus = $200,000 OTE
